Priorities

„Direct Democracy believes that the people should have direct participation in government. With our platform, we make proposals to enable active participation through referendums, recall of politicians and more power in the hands of the people.

MAIN PRIORITIES

Of political party „Direct Democracy“

SEPARATION OF POWERS

For there to be a true democracy, there must be a separation of powers between the different branches of government – the Legislative, the Executive and the Judiciary.

Direct Democracy proposes a separate vote for the three powers as a mechanism for real separation so that none of them is omnipotent.

POLLS

The important issues for the future of the country should be decided by the people, not by a narrow circle of politicians. Direct Democracy offers national and local referendums on education, health, tax, and international treaties.

E-voting will facilitate the process of polls so that every citizen’s voice can be heard.

RECALL OF POLITICIANS

Politicians must be held accountable for their actions and promises. If an elected representative does not fulfil their duties, there must be a way to recall them.

We propose that citizens have the right to initiate a recall by referendum if they are dissatisfied with the performance of their representatives.

REFORM OF THE JUDICIARY

Direct Democracy proposes a reform of the judiciary to ensure independence and efficiency.

Citizens will have the opportunity to participate in the selection of judges and prosecutors to ensure that justice is delivered transparently and impartially.

STRENGTHENING AGRICULTURE

Agriculture is the backbone of the economy and small and medium producers play a key role in the country’s food security.

Direct Democracy is committed to supporting farmers through subsidies, tax breaks and incentives for environmentally sustainable production.

HEALTH CARE

Direct Democracy proposes reforms to health care by introducing mechanisms for more direct citizen participation in the management of health systems and services.

This includes organising referendums on important changes to the health system, as well as scrutiny of population health spending and policies. Ensure access to quality health services and equitable distribution of resources.

HOW WILL THESE CHANGES BE IMPLEMENTED?

Responsibility of elected officials

Direct Democracy uses modern technologies and mechanisms for real citizen participation in governance. Through digital platforms and e-voting, we will make it easier to organise referendums and polls, and any proposal or initiative from citizens can be voted on quickly and efficiently. We guarantee transparency of the process and security of votes.

In addition, we will put in place mechanisms to respond quickly to civic initiatives, providing support for local and national movements that aim to improve society.

TIME FOR REAL CHANGE

The future is in your hands

With Direct Democracy, citizens will not be just passive observers of political processes. Each of us will have the right and the opportunity to actively participate in governance, to take decisions and to control the actions of politicians. This is the future of democracy – governance that truly puts the people first.

We urge you to support our initiative and get involved in the process of change – because real democracy requires active participation from all of us.
